Ready-Made Kolam powders are easily available in stores these Days. But Home Made Arisi/Rice Maa Kolam is always Special to light Up the special Occasions.
Giving you here the Easiest Method to Prepare Maa Kolam :
💡 Soak Raw Rice in water for an Hour or Overnight.
💡 Grind it in Mixie & make a Smooth paste.
💡 Take some paste in a bowl & add some water to Make a paste like batter, now The Maa Kolam, Ie Kolam Maavu is Ready!
💡 Use Small thin Piece of Cloth or a Small Painting Brush to Draw Maa Kolam. Make it wet, then put it in the paste, and draw Kolam.
💡 You can even store the Paste. Allow the Paste to dry Well & Store in a Box. When needed, take Some & Mix it with little Water to make a Paste. Then try Maa Kolam.
💡 The Maa kolams are Stated an additional shade by using Semman or Kaavi Powder. This dark brown color powder which is made with Red sand adds beauty to these Kolams.
Note : Some tried to use little Ulundhu / Maida flour or add some half teaspoon of Fevicol to the rice to Make the Maa Kolam more Sticking.
